About Us
People have used natural compounds for thousands of years for personal care. These ancient knowledge and skills have mostly been lost to us and replaced with synthetic chemicals in the modern world.
Most products that we use daily, including body and hair care products, contain chemicals that are harmful to your body and toxic for the environment.
Lemvia (pronounced “Limphia”) is a small, female owned manufacturer of 100% natural personal care products, based in the Helderberg basin, Cape Town.
Our products are manufactured by hand, and we use only the purest natural ingredients, sourced locally from sustainable producers. Independent parties extensively test every formulation and product that we develop.
Lemvia Strydom
Lemvia is our founder and the driving force behind the development of our products. She studied graphic design and spent most of her career in the IT industry.
She is passionate about nature and cares deeply for the natural world. For many years she has been concerned about the effects of every-day commercial personal care products on our own bodies, and the environment.
Notwithstanding her personal struggles with autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia and attention deficit disorder, Lemvia diligently researched natural alternatives for personal care products for many years. She developed our 100% natural personal care range that is healthy, affordable, chemical-free and sustainable. She carefully tested and chose each ingredient for optimal results.
